Pool Openings
A typical pool opening consists of two to three service visits. In most conditions, the first visit will consist of starting the pool up, testing all the pool components, netting and brushing, adjusting the water chemistry, and sanitizing the pool. Follow-up visits will include vacuuming to waste, additional chemical adjustments (salt, chlorine stabilizer) and completing any equipment programing. Covers are folded and stored for the season with all winterizing equipment. The pool will be in swimming condition when the opening is complete.

Infinity pools, pools over 40k gallons, waterfall basins and non-standard pool features will require in-person quoting.

Pool Winterizations
A pool or water feature winterization, or closing, involves several key steps. Typical duties include;
-
Cleaning the (algae free) pool.
-
Lowering the water in accordance with any cover manufacturer specifications at time of winterization, or otherwise at a level that is appropriate given what's best for the pool at that time.
-
Adjusting water balance chemistry to compensate for the lowering of temperatures and future precipitation.
-
Winterization of all pool equipment, pool components and pool lines is done by way of high powered air blowers, rubber winterizing plugs and the pool's plumbing components.
-
Sand filters are backwashed and cartridge filters are taken apart and cleaned and inspected. DE filters are completely disassembled and all components are inspected.
-
Once winterization is completed and depending on cover type, it's recommended to have a follow up appointment done before the first freeze and after a backyard cleanup has been completed.
